This might make you cringe but I’ve got to ask anyways – How are those New Year’s resolutions or goals going? I’ve got to wonder sometimes why they are so damn hard to keep and why habits are so hard to change. Here I share with you my design resolutions for 2017, kind of as a way to keep me accountable and for you to know what kind of goodies you’ll find on this blog :).

“I’ve got to wonder sometimes why they are so damn hard to keep and why habits are so hard to change.”

Designer Resolution #1: Tackle a new DIY project every month.

Doesn’t have to be anything big, as long as it cultivates my imagination and pushes me to try new things. January’s project was a wooden mirror that resembles a river. Check it out here.

Designer Resolution #2: Visit local mom & pop decor and design shops.

Right now that means the ones near me in Costa Rica (especially the little beach town shops). They always have unique things to serve as inspiration or to use in my next decor project. I’ll let you know what I find. Key word: unique!

Designer Resolution #3: Watch the new season of Fixer Upper.

If you don’t know what Fixer Upper is it’s the must see home reno show on HGTV! I won’t say much more cause you should either look it up or let me know in the comments below what your favourite episode is.

Designer Resolution #4: Write a new blog post once a week.

Right here, every Wednesdays! The latest on tips, tricks, trends, lifestyle, and more of design and decor.

What kind of goals are you trying to keep for this week, this month, this year? Share them below we’ll all keep each other accountable 😉
